  • Built around a combination of structured activities and student-led Minecraft projects.

  • Designed to provide encouragement, mentorship, and practical support without turning Minecraft into another traditional classroom.

  • Documented through progress notes that highlight growth in executive functioning, communication, persistence, and social development.

I Think, I Know, I Can: Minecraft Mentorship Program

Minecraft provides students with an engaging space to practice skills that can be difficult to develop through worksheets or traditional instruction. Our personalized mentorship program uses creative Minecraft projects to support communication, social skills, planning, organization, problem-solving, confidence, and other areas of executive functioning. Students work alongside an experienced Minecraft executive functioning coach to set goals, make plans, solve problems, and complete projects based on their interests.

Through structured and open-ended activities, students learn to work through challenges, respond more positively to mistakes, communicate their ideas, and recognize what they are capable of accomplishing.

What is Minecraft Mentorship?

  • Individualized support based on each student’s strengths, interests, and goals.

  • A safe, low-pressure environment where mistakes are treated as part of learning and creating.

  • Collaborate on meaningful Minecraft projects that encourage students to plan, organize, problem-solve, and follow tasks through to completion.

  • Guided opportunities to practice communication, collaboration, flexible thinking, and self-advocacy.

  • Planning + Organization: Breaking larger ideas into manageable steps and deciding what needs to happen first.

  • Task Persistence: Setting achievable goals and learning how to continue when a project becomes challenging.

  • Problem-solving: Trying different strategies, adapting plans, and finding creative solutions to obstacles.

  • Communication + Social Skills: Explaining ideas, asking for help, listening, collaborating, and responding to feedback.

  • Mistake Management: Learning that mistakes are a normal part of the creative process and can be used to improve a project.

  • Confidence + Self-esteem: Giving students opportunities to recognize their strengths and create something they are proud to share.
